At A Caring Touch Home Care, caring for the community has always been part of who we are. Founders Javier and Nayeli Herrera built the company on a foundation of compassion, dignity, and service, believing that quality care should extend beyond the home and into the heart of the communities we serve.
That is why we are proud to announce that Javier and Nayeli Herrera, founders of A Caring Touch Home Care, are serving as Co-Chairs of the Philanthropy Legacy Committee for the 2026 San Ysidro Health Legacy Ball.
The highly anticipated event, themed “A Tropical Soirée,” will take place on August 22, 2026, at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront. This year’s gala will also honor the extraordinary 26-year leadership and retirement of San Ysidro Health President and CEO Kevin Mattson, whose dedication has helped expand healthcare access for countless families across San Diego County.
A Night Dedicated to Community Impact
The San Ysidro Health Legacy Ball is the organization’s premier fundraising event, bringing together community leaders, healthcare advocates, and philanthropic partners to support critical healthcare initiatives throughout the region.
Proceeds from the event benefit the La Casita Fund, which provides essential medical, dental, and behavioral healthcare services for children and families in under-resourced communities.
In 2025 alone, San Ysidro Health served more than 162,000 patients across San Diego County, continuing its mission of delivering compassionate, accessible healthcare to those who need it most.
For Javier and Nayeli Herrera, supporting organizations that strengthen local families reflects the same values that inspired them to establish A Caring Touch Home Care.
Leadership Rooted in Compassion
As founders of A Caring Touch Home Care, Javier and Nayeli Herrera have dedicated themselves to improving the lives of seniors and families throughout San Diego County through compassionate, personalized home care services.
Their involvement with the Legacy Ball represents a continued commitment to giving back and supporting initiatives that create healthier, stronger communities for future generations.
The 2026 Legacy Ball committee includes respected local leaders and philanthropic advocates working together to advance San Ysidro Health’s mission and fundraising efforts. Through collaboration and community engagement, the event helps ensure vital healthcare services remain accessible to underserved populations throughout the county.
A Shared Mission of Caring
At A Caring Touch Home Care, we believe every individual deserves to feel supported, valued, and cared for. That belief extends beyond caregiving and into our ongoing commitment to community involvement and philanthropy.
Javier and Nayeli Herrera’s leadership with the San Ysidro Health Legacy Ball reflects the spirit of service that continues to guide A Caring Touch Home Care every day: putting people first, supporting families, and helping our community thrive together.
We are honored to support San Ysidro Health and applaud the work of the Philanthropy Leadership Council, Youth Philanthropy Council, and all those helping make the 2026 Legacy Ball a meaningful and impactful event.
Looking Ahead to an Inspiring Evening
The 2026 San Ysidro Health Legacy Ball promises to be an unforgettable evening celebrating healthcare, philanthropy, leadership, and community impact.
